Europe is striving to become the knowledge-based economy, the world's largest by the end of 2010. All agree that to achieve this goal it is necessary to encourage people to develop skills in a number of key areas to build a knowledge-oriented society.
The innovation consists in transforming knowledge into wealth, in turn know how to cash flow. Innovative ideas are the fruit of knowledge people have of an organization, the expertise, knowledge of environment, networking .... Alfons Cornella speaks, in his book "The Alchemy of Innovation", specifically, knowledge hybridization as the source of the best innovations.
Anyway, what is plain and clear is that the source, the wellspring from which flows all, is the people. In many organizations are created groups generating ideas using sometimes creativity techniques to foster the emergence of breakthrough ideas.
As the human species has adapted to changes in the environment over thousands of years, organizations adapt to their changing environment through radical innovations, surprising or shocking.
Some even themselves cause changes in the rules of competitive play through innovative business models: Ikea, Zara or Google itself, are banners of these tsunamis in the markets.
Not enough for companies to generate profits, but it's interesting that they do so through systematic innovation and minimizing the environmental impact of its processes (zero footprint).
The momentum of the environment as a variable in our development is one of the main themes that underpin the main macroeconomic policies of our government today. Citizens and governments themselves have become aware of current economic development can not mortgage the future.
On your word of fashion or, perhaps, magic potion? Is it simply is what it should be mentioned in any seminar / article / conference that price or we really are facing a new scenario in which the main way for organizations to innovate to be competitive passes?
It seems we just discovered Innovation as if until now did not exist or has been a blip, even anecdotal. What has happened? What paradigm has changed?
